Google Business Profile checklist for dental clinics

When someone searches for a dental clinic nearby, an accurate profile helps them check the basics before they call or visit. Start with the information patients need to act, then review it whenever clinic details change.

Claim, verify and keep clinic ownership

Check whether the clinic already has a profile before creating one. Follow Google's claim and verification process. Keep an authorised clinic representative as an owner, and give outside support providers manager access through Google rather than sharing a password.

Check the details patients use

Confirm the clinic name, address and map pin, phone number, website, opening hours and primary category. Add special hours when holiday or temporary schedules differ. Open the website and appointment links on a phone to check where they lead.

  • Does the phone number reach the clinic?
  • Do the opening hours match what staff tell patients?
  • Does the website link open the current clinic site?

Use current, representative information

Review the description, services and photos for accuracy. Use images the clinic is authorised to publish. Remove old details when they no longer reflect the clinic; keep patient privacy in mind when selecting photographs.

Set a review routine

Assign someone to check the profile after changes to location, hours, services or contact details. Google says local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and popularity. Complete, accurate information helps people understand the clinic, but it does not guarantee a particular position in search results.
